Halal Takeaway is Ireland's dedicated directory for halal restaurants and takeaways across all 26 counties. We help the Muslim community — and anyone who wants to eat halal — find trustworthy, verified listings close to them.

Our approach to halal certification

We know that halal certification status matters. Every listing on this site shows one of three statuses:

• Halal Certified — the restaurant holds current certification from a recognised halal certifying body.
• Verified — we found and recorded halal evidence for this business: a statement on its own website, Google’s halal classification, or customers reporting halal food in reviews. Every one is stored with the quote and the source it came from. It means we verified that evidence exists — not that a certification body has certified the business.
• Unverified — we have not yet confirmed the halal status of this listing.

We never fabricate certification status. Ireland publishes no public register of halal-certified businesses — the Islamic Foundation of Ireland’s list is offline, and DHCE verifies one certificate at a time by QR code — so no listing here carries the Certified badge yet. If you spot an error, tell us on the contact page.
